Hours of operation of the museum-estate:
Tuesday – Sunday (closed Mondays): 09:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., last admission to the memorial buildings – 3:00 p.m.
The Tolstoy House is closed for cleaning last Tuesday of each month.
The Kuzminsky House is closed for cleaning last Wednesday of each month.
From May to November admission to the memorial buildings is possible only with a guided tour.

By train:
On Saturdays and Sundays, at 9.00 am a specially decorated train, Yasnaya Polyana ( № 845 – 846, Moscow - Chern), departs from Kursky vokzal in Moscow and arrives at the Kozlova Zaseka station ( 4 km from the Tolstoy museum) at 11.50 am.
Here museum busses are waiting for you, which will bring you to Yasnaya Polyana, and after a tour and a walk around the estate they will carry you back to the station.
The train leaves back for Moscow at 6.10 pm, and arrives in Moscow at 9.36 pm.
However, if you would like to spend more than one day at Yasnaya Polyana, you are welcome to stay at the comfortable museum hotel, in close vicinity of the Tolstoy estate.

Please be aware that seasonal changes in the schedule are possible.
By bus:
You can get to Yasnaya Polyana from Moscow by car or bus just for three hours.
If you prefer to travel by bus, you should come to Tula first. Busses for Tula leave from the metro station Domodedovskaya almost every hour. In Tula, you can get off the bus at the stop Mosina and take minibus 114, 115 or 117. Then get off at the stop Shkolnaya, and after a 10-minute walk you will reach the Tolstoy estate.
